Hideo Kojima Says His New Game Is Now In "Crunch Time," Wonders How Much Longer He Can Stay Creative
Between Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, Physint, and OD, Hideo Kojima is a very busy developer and keenly aware that time is catching up to him. On X/Twitter, Kojima explained how he’d like to keep being creative for the rest of his life, but as he enters “crunch time” on one of his game projects, he’s not sure how long that’ll be. As Kojima explained, all the work associated with producing a video game combined with “an inevitable pile of other tasks” can take a mental and physical toll on a person.
Kojima also compared himself to veteran Hollywood director Ridley Scott, who continues to work on big-budget films like last year’s Gladiator sequel Come from malaysia online casino . “Even now, at 87, Ridley Scott is still active. And back when he was past 60–my current stage in life–he created the masterpiece Gladiator,” Kojima wrote.
This isn’t the first time that Kojima has mused about how his physical …

Read moreDeveloper Slow Bros. is not afraid of leaving its fingerprints all over its debut game, Harold Halibut. And I mean that literally: Every character, texture, piece of furniture, article of clothing, floorboard, button, door, and even the screws that hold everything together were physically crafted by the developers and then digitally scanned into a 3D game. In fact, if you look closely enough, you may even see an actual single eyelash hair pressed into the clay cheek of one of the game’s characters. This handmade style could, of course, suggest that it would be animated using stop motion, much like Wallace and Gromit or Pingu, but that isn’t the case at all. Instead, Harold Halibut’s handmade world is rendered in real-time with the motion and fluidity of any modern 3D game.
The result is striking and even lifelike despite being cartoonish in its nature, and instantly distinguishes Harold Halibut as one of the most graphically interesting games coming this ye…

Read moreJust Cause 3 makes no apologies for its outrageous nature. It’s a power fantasy in every sense of the phrase, placing you in a world rife with destructible environments and giving you creative instruments with which to destroy them. There are intermittent technical problems, and scripted moments detract from the freedom found elsewhere, but in the end, Just Cause 3 provides a spectacular, explosive sandbox experience.
The plot revolves around returning protagonist Rico Rodriguez, who’s arrived in the fictional Republic of Medici during the height of Sebastiano Di Ravello’s military dictatorship. The story here is forgettable, but delivers an effective invitation: dozens of military installations cover the world map, and it’s your job to blow them up for the rebel forces.
Even the most mundane, everyday things can seem full of mystery and adventure when you’re a kid. Especially when you have a like-minded friend to bounce ideas off and encourage your flights of fancy. Knights & Bikes channels this familiar childhood experience in a knock-about co-operative (but you can still play it solo) adventure that remains endlessly charming even when its core mechanics don’t join in the fun.

Nessa is slightly older and seemingly orphaned; Demelza lives in the island’s caravan park run by her single dad, who is struggling to keep the business afloat. The pair seize the opportunity to escape into each other’s imaginations, setting off on a grand adventure to recover the island’s legendary buried treasure and, Demelza hopes, use it to reverse he…

Across her decades-spanning career, Walter was nominated for both Emmy and SAG awards and lent her incredible talents to film, TV, and Broadway. In addition to her now iconic (and frequently memed) role as the hilariously cruel Lucille Bluth, Walter also starred in such pieces of cinematic history as Clint Eastwood’s Play Misty For Me which earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress.
On the stage, Walter performed in multiple Tony award winning productions such as Anything Goes, and most recently a 2016 revival of Steel Magnolias. When she wasn’t turning out gut-splitting live-action performances, Walter lent her talents to animated shows like Archer, where she delivered deadpan zinger…
